They then need to go on a full-scale Dickensian redemptive journey, culminating in the purchase of Lionel Messi for a sickly boy on crutches.

Getting a good manager is pointless without investment and that is where they lack the support.
Our top price for a player edges in at around £25m, whereas the pack around the top end of the table edge in from £30 - 50m for a top talent. That £30m bracket is something Sullivan is not willing to commit too, hence the issue with William Carvalhao.

I cannot see any reprieve for them in my eyes. It is clear there is a sense of disdain for the owners inside and outside the club. When someone lies like our owners do it is very hard to provide any sense of reprieve.

Lying and conning is ingrained in how they operate. They have taken a club which was at it's lowest ebb, made it a marketing material for themselves and are now leeching a living while promising so much for the punter. It's too much and time for change. They cannot or more correctly do not want to invest to compete at the top, yet still want you to bring in more money to line their pockets.

They are flea market traders who will sell you a ton of shit and call it quality. The problem is you recognise you are not getting quality until it is too late, which is the nature of football.

What an ideal business set up for a group of con merchants. In truth though good businessmen and women are rewarded for being con merchants, which is why Alan Sugar is regarded as a good businessman when really he just sold shit.

To be bunt, Burke and Oxford - and to a lesser extent Cullen - should be regulars in the first team squad by now. And I'm quite sure that, if Carr and his team were still in place, they would be.

They were all excellent youths.

We've got to bridge that post-youth gap (which all clubs suffer) between reserve team and first team which we had previously cracked.

OK, serious point here, too, in response to one of the comments below.

I should say upfront that I don't know what the best solution on our youth set up is. But I've seen quite a few comments about Westley and his coaching staff recently.

Tough one.

I genuinely don't know whether Westley and the set-up is a problem. He has overseen the development of several very good youngsters since Carr left the role: Burke, Rice, Oxford, Cullen, Powell, Akinola etc.

The problem seems to be the eternally difficult 'next step' of ensuring these kids move from reserve team level through to first team level/ability once they have left the youth set up.

Carr et al were superb at preparing the kids for that step. This seems to be where we're falling down, and part of me thinks that what we should be looking to do is employ a 'finishing school' coach specifically to work with the reserve management with a proven track record in continuing to develop/improve younger players beyond their youth team age.

I'm thinking of somebody like (but not necessarily him) Leroy Rosenior.

For some reason, West Ham have fallen back into the trap that most clubs suffer - which is getting talented kids to take that step up once their youth careers are complete. We never used to have that problem - although we should all be aware that Carr and his team were a rare breed: not many clubs in the world cracked it like they did.

Westley and Phillips etc seem to do OK with the kids on a certain level. But Burke, Oxford, Cullen et al should be improving faster than they currently are.

Too early to tell re: Powell and Akinola.

As suicide clearly isn't an option, here is my plan B for reprievement

1. Disappear from all kind of social media
2. Sack Brady
3. Give manager/Pellegrini all power so recruit players, or hire Sports Director
4. Spend 200m this summer
5. Build a training ground with PL standard
6. Remove gaps in stadium
7. Add retractable seating to stadium
8. Make sure stands are no further away from pitch than at UP

At this point we would start looking like a football club!

Just reading Mario Husillos, Malaga's sporting director is apparently to be appointed, him and Pellegrini worked together before.
That would be excellent, just sack Brady and Westley, need the whole youth system revamped and ban Sullivan junior from voicing an opinion and then let the professionals do their job

No reprieve for me - they've now done enough damage. I can usually see the good in people but I hate Brady, Gold is just a dithering old fool and Sullivan is just a total power hungry kunt.

They've pulled off one of the most financially outrageous manoeuvres in the history of football and STILL fail to capitalise (from a football perspective - not business) on it.

Since they are not going to resign then to actually tell the truth, go out and get a really good manager and hand him a generous transfer pot in addition to any monies raised through the sale of current players.

(and yes a move towards a new purpose built stadium).

Build a new stadium fit for purpose. The LS arena is too far away from a starting point to work, there are so many issues.

Then they can leave the club, in good hands of course, and go about expunging all the records which mention their tenure. They are the darkest cloud ever to hang over our club. Toxic, greedy, media whores, teflon coated, classless, fan milking liars.

In short, nothing they will do will reprieve them as we know by now they are incapable of honouring their promises. 3 Billy Liars.
What next up their sleeve? For the good of the club?
It's going to have to be very very good and cost THEM hundreds of millions to stand a chance.

To sell up to a bona fide new ownership who will invest in the club facilities top to bottom and not some carpet bagging lowlife like themselves.
I don't care what else they do as long as the go soon and fulfil only one promise that they were only custodians of a great club and ensure its future prosperity.

Following on from my earler post,the thing does it for me more than anything else is the fact that they have ripped the heart from this club and everything we were to satisfy their own greed. I have no problem with anyone making a stack of dough but they were stupidly rich when they bought the fucking club. The damage that has been done is iirrepairable while they are running things and its all down to their ego's and grèed. And even if they did know what we once were it is obvious they dont give a fuck as long as the money is piling up.

Suspect for many they have gone past the point of no return?

Personally, if we can be looking up each season to how high we can finish in the Top 8 or 10 and be playing good entertaining football, decent cup runs rather than the current situation of constantly looking over our shoulder, not giving a shit about cups and dire football at times then it would be a big step in the right direction.

Think we need to be more realistic at what can be achieved each season given the resources and money available to some of the clubs in the PL, getting a top 4 would be a massive achievement, but we should be comfortably avoiding the relegation scrap each season as well.

Realistically unless we get a money bags billionaire owner, next level would be consistently finishing in the Top 8 with decent domestic or European cup runs (if we qualify) and the odd final or Cup win.
